Hosted by Shanghai Municipal Government, Shanghai Fashion Week showcases top design talents from around the world within the frames of a special cultural and business event. This April, its joint spaces from catwalk to shows spanned over 25,000 sqm, where over 1,000 brands showcased their latest designs. The success was hailed by Business of Fashion as “Shanghai’s Bid to Conquer Asian Fashion” (Apri 25, 2017). For SS18, DFO organised the 8th edition of the largest private showroom event in China, and established a strong collaboration with INTREND GROUP, the parent company of P+, China’s leading Accessories multi-label boutique chain spanning over 15 cities.
DFO Showroom took place across two locations: Central Studios, Shanghai’s top fashion photo studio spanning over 1,400 square meters, and our own, newly-renovated 3-storey DI:LOFT with over 600 square meters.
The compound, originally built 90 years ago as a manufacturing facility for apparel, has long celebrated the heritage to Shanghai’s fashion industry. Owned by Shangtex Holding Group, which also undertakes Shanghai Fashion Week, the whole compound has recently gone through major renovation.
